| The Horseshoe Bend Band |
Known as the
The Horseshoebenders, the band has a tremendous
influence on the Newcastle country music
scene. The band stays pretty consistent
from week to week but with a few interesting
variations. The usual cast of excellent
musicians are Peter Figures (drums), Brad
Bergen (lead guitar), Simon Johnson (bass
guitar), and Chad Plane (piano). Others
who sometimes sit in include Greg Franks,
Allan Tomkins, Duncan Toombs, Mal Lancaster,
Rod Coe, Gary Brown, and Anthony Taylor. |

a short drive from Maitland, Nelson Bay, Port
Stephens, the Central Coast, Singleton and Muswellbrook.
